Why do communities need help?

Communities are increasingly spending money to educate students with special needs in Private Education Day Placements. Since 2014, spending on Private Day Placement expenditures have increased by over 200%.

Our Consulting for Institutions services present a multidisciplinary team approach to helping Community Planning and Management Teams and Family Assessment and Planning Teams maximize community resources to truly serve students in their Least Restrictive Environments (LRE).

For many students, this placement can be their neighborhood school.

For some students, their LRE will include a private, or out-of-district placement. However, most students, when given appropriate supports, well-trained staff and informed parents, are able to access education and make academic, social and emotional progress within their neighborhood public school settings. Decades of educational research supports this as the best case scenario for students. Success By Design Education supports inclusionary public education that allows a child with special and/or exceptional needs access to the same school, with supports, as peers in their communities, and opportunities to learn in classrooms with non-disabled peers.

Our multi-tiered approach to supporting Institutions in implementing Special Education Placement/ Least Restrictive Environment reform includes:
